That has been a highlight for me throughout my 15 years of experience. I have worked as a nanny in private homes, and most recently I have been running my own program. People have said that I create an environment that is welcoming and engaging. I focus on children's wellbeing, and I especially love to sing and dance with them. I’m proud when I think about helping so many children work through their individual challenges and achieve personal gains. I am an experienced care provider with over 3 years of experience, and I am committed to providing the highest quality of childcare.
Northboro Extended Day Program
Formerly run by the Assabet Valley VNA, this adult day health program provides a variety of social and health services to its participants, and offers special support to caregivers who need help. Daycare rates depend on how old your child will be and what your schedule looks like. 5 days / week might get a slight discount, and infant rates are usually more than toddlers’. Finding a spot also depends on age and schedule because each daycare has a limited number of openings for each age range. At Lidus Childcare, our home daycare is designed for play, creativity, and learning! Within the space, we have an art area to create a comfortable environment for all of our activities.

I want the children in my program to look forward to coming here, and having a small group of children allows me to make that happen. I focus on helping children work through challenges, and I use my knowledge and prior experiences to tailor programming to individual children’s needs. We follow a daily routine that can vary according to child age and interest. Usually, days begin with drop-off and breakfast and include music and movement, free play, outdoor play, group activities and games, and motor skills development. One of my favorite times of day is music and movement.

Our daycare recommendation service is free for parents. Before NeighborSchools, services like these were only designed for large corporate child care centers, and part of our mission is to level the playing field for small, independent child care programs. That’s why we picked the name NeighborSchools - we’re all about making child care more personal, more human, and more equitable for the incredible individuals who do this work and care for our children. Most first-time parents don’t know exactly what they’re looking for, so we created a simple survey that will ask you questions about your lifestyle, your daily routines, and your preferences for child care. We’ll then share 3 personalized recommendations that we think might be a good fit. We’ll also give you a timeline that maps out when we would suggest you start touring programs, choose a daycare, and pay a deposit to secure a spot.
Alexandra Day Care
In the spring, we plant seeds in the backyard, and the excitement when those first little sprouts pop up is really something to see! Learning to care for the plants as they grow is a great learning experience too. We do lots of different activities here, and one thing we always find time in the day for is dancing. Moving to music really lifts everyone’s spirits, including mine! We have a great space with a large backyard and a playground unit for the kids to enjoy. It’s all fun and games as children develop a love of learning through play at this daycare.

Activities are designed to help children develop social, emotional and cognitive skills as they sing, dance, play, and learn in a small group setting.
It’s simple things like where you live, your child’s date of birth, when you want to start care, and if you have any preferences around program philosophy or language of instruction. If you’re planning 6+ months ahead, it’s a great way to get started, and if you’re hoping to start daycare in the next 2-4 months, it’s definitely time to get started. Working as a daycare assistant in my cousin’s program got me interested in opening my own - and I’m so glad for that inspiration because I love working with kids every day. In my home, kids learn from me and from each other. I give children plenty of time to interact while guiding them through different activities during the day. I’ve had my own home daycare for four years and am so excited to continue to grow my program.
